Supporting the future of the MTB Skills Park in Crawshawbooth
Investing in Zona Moller
Pride in Place is investing £38,000 of capital funding in Zona Moller MTB Skills Park, Goodshaw Lane, In Crawshawbooth.
The investment is supporting improvements to the site, helping to maintain the existing trails and create new opportunities for local riders to enjoy the park.
Progress so far
Work at Zona Moller is already underway, with improvements taking place across the site and volunteers playing a key role in looking after the trails.
Storage in place
New storage is now in place, helping volunteers keep equipment secure and making regular maintenance easier.
New trails
Good progress is being made on two new trails, adding to the opportunities available at the Skills Park.
Regular maintenance
Ongoing maintenance and repairs are helping to keep existing trails and features in good condition.
Volunteer days
A regular monthly volunteer maintenance day has been established, with the first Monday evening of each month currently being used.
Building skills
Seven volunteers have trained as trail maintenance supervisors and inspectors, helping build skills that could also support other sites across the valley.
Listening to riders
The team continues to listen to regular riders and respond to ideas about how the Skills Park can develop.
Volunteers are at the heart of the Skills Park
Volunteers continue to play a key role in maintaining and developing Zona Moller.
A regular maintenance day has been established, alongside weekly maintenance and development work. Seven volunteers have also completed training to become trail maintenance supervisors and inspectors.
A place for young people and families
Around 50 people, mainly young people aged 8–14 and families, attended a Pride in Place event at Zona Moller during the Commonwealth Games.
Despite poor weather, the event had a great turnout and highlighted how well used the Skills Park continues to be.
iBikeRide Trail of the Year Awards 2026
Zona Moller MTB Skills Park was placed 7th in the 2026 iBikeRide Trail of the Year Awards, recognising the park’s growing profile and popularity with riders.
