Our Annual Employability event is a great way for you to showcase your company to 1000 school pupils and to use it to recruit your future workforce.
2021 will be a great platform for engagement and we look forward to inviting you to this “buzzing” virtual event.
Hundreds of school pupils have suffered due to the effects of the Covid pandemic and future career aspirations have taken a back seat while they navigate their learning.
To get involved, we are asking you to very simply upload your details to the START website.
This will then be used in the classrooms of our local schools and education providers through our Virtual Careers Event to be held on the week commencing 28th June 2021. Furthermore, your profile and details will stay on the platform as good source of free marketing and an opportunity for you to safeguard your staffing needs in the future by engaging with local schools.
This virtual careers event will be promoted by the schools, the council and its partners and will give a real chance for the schools to showcase some of the fantastic businesses our area has to offer.
WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Simply follow the link below where you will be asked to provide some details of your business, upload a video telling people what you do, along with some other simple requests. This will then be uploaded to a Rossendale specific page for our schools to use. http://bit.ly/rbcSTART
If you want any help in setting up your profile, filming your video, inspiration for the content or anything else, we are offering the services of our business adviser to come and help!

2019’s fair introduced 68 locally based businesses and organisations to over a total of 1400 people across Rossendale. 1000 school pupils attended and then a further 400+ people genuinely looking to engage with local employers, who offered apprenticeships, full-time work, part-time positions and voluntary roles.
