Living in Rossendale

Discover a quality of work-life balance in the South Pennines

One of the striking things about living in the charming Rossendale Valley is the invaluable work-life balance that can be offered. It is the perfect location to take in a natural country scene and enjoy the ambience in the coffee shops, markets and microbreweries in the friendly town centres.

You can head for a stroll straight after work, cycle along the trails or horse ride along bridleways which overlook the dramatic landscapes. Embrace the adrenaline attractions at the Water-ski Academy, Grip & Go and the Ski & Snowboard Centre or simply hop on the heritage railway with a pleasant steam train experience through the countryside, stopping at the picturesque village of Irwell Vale.

Posh Living in Rawtenstall Bus Station is now OPEN! It's wonderful to see a business relocating their established business into Rawtenstall.

The fit out of this shop has been made possible by LCC's Lancashire Economic Recovery Grant and a contribution from RBC.

Have you seen the wonderful news that Rawtenstall has been named one of the best places to live in the North West?

Following our unsuccessful Levelling Up Fund bid, the government have announced in their budget today that Rossendale WILL be receiving almost £18m towards regenerating Bacup & Rawtenstall Markets, tackling the gyratory, and upskilling our residents. We are thrilled!!
