Waterfoot

Explore the vision for Waterfoot below – from restoring heritage buildings to creating a new town square and green spaces, all designed to bring people together and revitalise the town.

Our Vision for Waterfoot

The development of Waterfoot will see new reasons to visit the town. Heritage buildings such as Trickett’s Arcade that drag on the town will be restored and brought into use.

A new Town Square and a linear park will witness communities coming together away from the heavily congested roads, hosting events and gatherings, they will become the new heart of the town.

Working with the local creative community, new events, attractions and retail ventures will return footfall to the town.

Additional projects feature in later year funding:

  • Building improvements
  • Public realm improvements

We have secured £20m for the next 10 years for Waterfoot, Crawshawbooth and Rawtenstall.

The government strongly endorsed our plan, which means we can start to deliver the things our community want.
