New developments in Rawtenstall are making a huge impact in the up and coming town.
Plans are underway at Spinning Point which includes redeveloping the bus station, adding in more retail units to improve the shopping offer at the already popular Bank Street with the introduction of a hotel in a prime position with convenient parking.
There are also exciting things planned for Rawtenstall Market as Rossendale Council considers the appointment of a partner organisation to take over the running of it. Keep up to date with the latest news here.
The East Lancashire Railway is also being improved, this year will see a new canopy over the Rawtenstall station platform, giving you more space to enjoy your buffet stop drink. Watch this space for more updates about the heritage railway.
Enhancements are also on-going at the famous dry Ski & Snowboarding centre in Rawtenstall. As part of the latest work, the facility’s existing reception, toilets and ski hire will be demolished and replaced with a purpose-built ski centre building which will provide an improved 35-seat café/bistro and elevated outdoor viewing area with further seating available.
The extremely popular Whitaker museum and park is making headway to become a cultural hub. Plans to convert the barn and stables will contribute further to the creative industry in Rossendale, providing even more space for artists whilst also expanding on the sought after food & drink offer.
